What is Summer of 1776 Festival?

Remember that EPIC Independence Day party we threw last year because Biden said we couldn’t? Well it’s back by popular demand. Same epic party, different venue. This year, we’re bringing the celebration to Starshine Texas – a 25-acre park and lake located in the heart of Humble, Texas. Starshine is home to a hillside concert arena, a lake, picnic areas, a luxurious clubhouse, and a playground for children.

Fireworks, tubing on the lake, slip n' slides, games like beach volleyball, mechanical bull riding, inflatable axe throwing, and a live concert featuring country music star Chris Janson (with hits like "Good Vibes" and "Buy Me a Boat") and rising singer/sognwriter Shane Profitt.

All ages welcome, but only 21+ will be served alcohol. This year you are free to bring beach chairs, tents, rafts, etc. There’s a large field in front of the stage where everyone can camp out. After the fireworks, those still standing will move inside for the live DJ.

What to expect?

Doors open for General Admission ticket holders at 4:00pm. Enjoy the family-friendly games and swimming activities, food trucks, and cash bars with beer and patriotic refreshments available for purchase. Attendees may bring their own lawn chairs and shade umbrellas and claim a spot in one of the designated areas near the concert stage or utilize the limited number of first-come, first-serve picnic tables.

All General Admission areas are outdoors – shady areas, cooling misters, and tents will be around for folks who want a break from the Sun. VIP ticket holders will have access to the indoor clubhouse (see below for more information about VIP tickets).

The live concert begins at 5:30pm with country music artist Shane Profitt. At 7:00pm, chart-topping country music singer Chris Janson - with hit songs like “Buy Me A Boat”, “Good Vibes”, and “Fix A Drink” - takes the stage for an all-American country music performance.

At 8:30pm, the epic fireworks show commences. Following the end of the fireworks show around 9:00pm, we will have a nighttime DJ show for everyone who wants to dance and keep the good times rolling!

What do VIP tickets include?

In addition to access to all General Admission areas, VIP ticket holders have access to the indoor, air-conditioned clubhouse with first-come, first-serve lounge and table seating, a catered buffet, a cash bar with premium beer, wine and cocktails, and clubhouse balcony views of the concert stage. VIP ticket holders also receive early access to the venue beginning at 3:00pm (General Admission ticket holders may enter beginning at 4:00pm). VIP tickets are extremely limited and must be purchased in advance of the event. For questions about VIP tickets, please email us at events@crenshawforcongress.com or call 281-888-4016.

Are children allowed to attend Summer of 1776?

All ages are welcome! Our children’s play area has a lot of fun games and activities to keep them entertained. However, after the fireworks show ends around 9pm the nighttime DJ show will be loud and better suited for the 21+ crowd.

Do children have to pay to attend?

Children ages 10 and under may attend for free but they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please enter the number of children ages 10 and under accompanying you in the checkout form on Eventbrite. Everyone else must pay the full ticket price for General Admission or VIP.
